The rapids that feed Little Charlotte offers the avid fly-fisherman hours of entertainment. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are kilometers of back roads and trails to explore and incredible mountain vistas to photograph. When night falls, every star in the sky lights up and meteor showers are easily visible. Watch out for the occasional U.F.O.!

One morning you'll wake up and you won't want to leave...
Luckily lakes don't dry up over night.
See you next time!

BANG! At times the system may seem demanding but it's only natural to keep moving. If you gather too much mass you become too heavy for transportation and your journey downstream ends shortly after the headwaters. To be a boulder or a cobble may sound attractive as you have a fair amount of substance to hold you in one place. Filled with memories of it's ancestry, the surface of the boulder can still be weathered away. Splitting into smaller grain sizes the tales of that boulder's journey can be spread a new. The lighter cobble, can then break into gravel, then sand, and eventually clay. At this point, the grain is suspended in the stream almost indefinitely. Only when the river system reaches a zero energy level will the small clay settle out. While most will settle as winter grinds its icy claws into the stream, some particles may find a way out if necessary. But what of the boulder? Was it not just a smaller grain of a larger formation? And that of a larger rock still? Eventually, all the grains undergo metamorphism and fundamentally become something different altogether, a part of something larger once more. Nothing ever really stops, we just slow down from time to time. Thats when the heat and pressure start to build. Choose your sediment wisely.
